Dahlia in the Darkness!
In the edges of the unknown, suspended, flooded,
Dangling on ropes of despair, weary and bloodied,
Scars of yesteryears etched deep in skin and bones,
Like Hale-Bopp fading alone through the heliosphere’s zones.
Hopes withered, ropes tightened, breath caught in the deep,
I sank into shadows, into silence, into sleep.
No cause, no reason, no anchor in sight,
A drifting soul lost, swallowed by night.
The dance of fate left, tunes of love turned obscure,
The last spark of matches burnt; nothing left to cure.
It was only me, looping in pain,
A hollow echo, a heart bound in chains.
Then you came, like a rose, thorns sharp, petals soft,
Gentle and radiant, like light descending aloft.
Your heart reached into the dark, tender and true,
Fishing me out, letting my spirit renew.
Like a Dahlia sprouting from earth to the sun,
Fearless, unyielding, a new life begun.
You are the quiet glow in the coldest of nights,
The whispered warmth that makes all wrongs right.
Every smile, every word, a soft refuge for me,
A promise, a haven, a chance to be free.
You tilled the soil of my heart with gentle care,
Planted courage where despair had dared.
Your laughter a sunbeam melting frost away,
Your touch a river where my sorrows sway.
Through your eyes, I see what I’d long forgotten to find,
Shadows retreat, leaving hope behind.
You are my anchor, my compass, my dawn,
Proof that even the lost can carry on.
I rise now, not alone, but with you by my side,
A pilgrim from darkness, walking with pride.
You are my Dahlia, steadfast and bright,
Rooted in love, in care, in unyielding light.
Life with you blooms in gardens once gray,
Each day a chance to grow, to live, to stay.
Moments colored in warmth, in your endless embrace,
Every heartbeat echoes your gentle grace.
I vow to tend this garden, nurture, defend,
Honor the light that you chose to send.
And like the Dahlia, I will rise and renew,
Forever reaching, forever blooming, with you.
